This book is a young adult fantasy novel in which a young man of 16 is having a hard time getting along with others; he is being bullied and his father is absent from his life. One day he decides he has put up with enough and stands up to his bully but during the fight he is knocked out cold. The young man, named Cam, wakes up to find out that he has travelled back in time to the days of knights and castles, and all of the things that made him nerdy and unwanted make him a great leader in the past. As the story progresses, Cam leads the people who rescued him to fight the oppression that has kept them on the run and fearing for their lives. There are a lot of great references to 1980's culture and what it is like to be a young person.
