Handcrafted in Ontario
This "Inukshuk & Polar Bear"
soapstone carving was created by Inuk artist Kuzy Curley from Kinngait, Cape Dorset, Nunavut. With his Polar Bear pieces, Kuzy is using a new and unique technique that creates a textured and matte finish to the carving providing the depth of the fur of polar bears. With this piece, Kuzy melded the iconic inukshuk with a polar bear to create this new contemporary piece.
Made In Canada Gifts curates every piece of Inuit art with care and appreciation of both the piece and the artist. We offer a varied selection of unique one-of-a-kind carvings selected from talented Inuit artists, both emerging and established, from Canada's Nunavut Territory.
This "Inukshuk" sculpture measures 6.5" x 5.5" x 1.5"
