iSkills is a series of three student resources with each title focusing on a specific area of English Language Arts skills: Comprehension, Communication, and Language Conventions. Constructing Meaning: Skills for Understanding Contemporary Texts The first half of this resource focuses on before, during, and after engaging a text. The second half addresses skills beyond the before, during and after skills, such as how a person uses more than one comprehension strategy or how the meaning of a text may change when presented in a different form.
