God asks us to come to Him like a child; in humility, receptively, and with an earnest desire to learn all we can about Him. Doing so looks a lot like the process of learning math facts and the alphabet in school – starting small, working repetitively, until rote memorization develops in to a deeper, unaided understanding …a process we commonly refer to as 'learning by heart.'
