"Doc" is a retired military Physician Associate. He and his coworkers are just beginning their day at the clinic when the world, as they know it, changes them forever. Anything electric ceases to work. Initially, "Doc" thinks it's just a typical power outage. Then, without warning, airplanes fall from the sky, cars stop dead in the middle of the road, and vital medical devices stop working. People are dying almost immediately all around them. "Doc" isn't sure what has happened but resorts back to his years of military training as he gathers up other veterans with combat and survival training. They create a safe house to protect themselves and their families from the dangers that are lurking following the power failure. They attempt to get to the bottom of the power failure and how to restore it while staying alive and fighting off other survivors.
