Jess and Mel are monster hunters on a mission: get paid and try to stay alive long enough to spend it. Sadly, life is anything but simple for this dynamic duo. Were-beasts, carnivorous plants, and a host of monsters lurk around every corner just waiting to sink their claws in. If that wasn't bad enough, there's always the rent. Right on the heels of the worst motel stay in recorded history, Jess and Mel are back on the highway, bickering over one very mysterious sword and the soul-based transaction that spawned it, all while running late, really late. That extra long stay put them behind on a promise to help a nearby town with their murderous fish people problem. By the time our heroes arrive, they find the only road in underwater, as well as just about everything else. Long odds and longer claws put Jess and Mel face-to-gill with the best in aquatic nightmares. Still, there's something a little fishy about this swampy town and its inhabitants… The real question is are either of them can stay alive long enough to figure it out.
