After years of caring for her ailing mother, Suri believes her life is but an empty shell. Suri's sister, Sabrina, pleads with her to take some time away. They never knew a brief stay in the quaint tourist town of Norick would change their lives forever. On Midsummer's Eve Suri and her sister take part in the local festivities and become lost in the woods. They not only lose their way, but travel hundreds of years into the past. In the Medieval Norick, they're attacked by ruthless men sent to destroy the city. During the commotion, Suri and her sister become separated. It's then that Suri comes face to face with the barbaric Miles, Lord of Norick. He frees her of the assailants and takes her to his keep. As Suri struggles to find her sister and return them to their own time, she begins to find a piece of her heart that's been shut away far too long.
