This book starts out defining the samurai mindset and the bushido code on which the mindset is founded. The author, by using using simple principals and understandings, strips away the mystic and complexity of the psychology of the warrior. This gives a simple understanding of the mindset of the samurai, before applying it to the modern day warrior, the athlete, in simple and effective ways. The book is designed to help athletes, coaches and trainers in all fields of sport. In sport, the athlete trains their body through repetition to develop skills which become automatic programs in the subconscious mind. A negative mindset will create problems with this flow. Changing this negative mindset allows the body to do what you have trained it to do and get the conscious mind out of the way.
