EXCUSES ARE DRIVEN BY OUR BELIEFS, WHICH CONTROL OUR MINDSET, OUR CHOICES, AND OUR ACTIONS. EXCUSES ARE THE WARM EMBRACE UNDER A FIERY FURNACE THAT LEAD TO NOWHERE - LIKE SELF INFLICTED POISON, BRINGING DEATH TO OUR CREATIVITY, THAT SOON BURNS THROUGH ALL OUR POTENTIAL. THE TIME IS NOW TO STEP INTO THE LIGHT, REALIZE THE POWER WITHIN, AND THE MAGNIFICENT MASTERPIECE THAT IS YOU.
"In this book, Lincoln peels the onion of a few of the many excuses that are used to avoid making the necessary choices to live a life of purpose, with meaning. He challenges the excuses to expose their invalidity, asking one to look in the mirror for the answer to the greatest resource - your mind!"
"The subtitle of this book, "Taking the first step to living a life of Purpose, with Meaning", is extremely important as it is the impetus for not using excuses to live a life of normalcy and mediocrity. There is nothing normal when one chooses the road less traveled, accepts that one's purpose is a life of service, recognizes that each of us were born with certain talents which should be used to live such a life with passion. No one has ever succeeded in life by conforming to what society deems normal. There has never been an invention of any significance where the inventor was considered normal. In fact, all were considered extraordinary human beings, not because they were more intelligent than everyone else, but they sought to use their skills and talents in pursuit of what many would have ignored because it was deemed too difficult or unconventional. This book exposes such power and the reasons why we should no longer use excuses, ever!"
