When I became a Christian, I learned how to lean and depend on God, the call from Ver'mon's best friend on October 26th 2015 that said "Mrs. Steve Monie (as he is affectionately known) is missing and I think something bad has happened." At that moment I knew I needed God. At a love seat in a quiet place in our home was where I felt like I could breathe, where I felt I was being held, by the only Person that could hold me. On my knees was my position of comfort. Hello, my name is Janice Genath Washington Steve. I am a native of Yemassee South Carolina, the oldest child of Rebecca Murray and Leroy Washington Sr," my daddy" as I called him, has gone on to be with the Lord; married 39 years to the Reverend Dr. Joe Henry Steve Jr. I have been a lover of words from a young age, and would write poems for some of my siblings and I to recite in church, and that continued with our four children and our grand daughter, I am a Registered Nurse, the founder of "An Xtra Hand" my nurse consulting business for home care agencies, the creator of Jan's unique designs, hand made jewelry, an inventor and author. My inspiration for writing this book, was realizing in the middle of my STORM, that God was keeping me. He had allowed me to find my position of comfort and held me like only He could.
