Este libro recoge las contribuciones realizadas al Seminario Doctoral sobre Paz y valores europeos como posible modelo de integracin y progreso en un mundo global organizado en el Real Monasterio de Yuste, sede de la Fundacin Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste, en Cuacos de Yuste, Espaa, entre el 24 y 26 de julio de 2017. Los contenidos de este volumen cubren diferentes reas de investigacin, entre las cuales se observan las lneas propuestas en el titulo, a saber, el modelo y los valores europeos en un mundo global. Una mayora de artculos se articulan en torno a las polticas internas de la UE; la propia gnesis de los valores Europeos; el papel de las becas Erasmus en la internacionalizacin de la educacin superior; la participacin juvenil en el Derecho de la UE; los derechos religiosos en la UE; la preservacin de las fronteras exteriores; la poltica de memoria histrica de la UE; la proyeccin exterior; o el concepto de Europa desde una visin crtica perifrica. This book includes the contributions to the Doctoral Seminar on Peace and European Values as a potential model for integration and progress in a global world held at the Royal Monastery of Yuste, Headquarters of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, in Cuacos de Yuste, Spain from 24th to 26th July 2017. The contents of this volume cover different areas of research, among which we find the lines proposed in its title, namely the European model and values in a global world. Most are articulated around the EU’s internal policies like the genesis of European values; the role of the Erasmus scholarships in the internationalization of higher education; the youth participation in EU Law; religious rights in the EU; the safeguarding of the external borders; the EU’s policies of historical memory; the EU’s external projection the narrative of what Europe is about from a critical peripheral view.
