"Privateers and Kings" is the first book in a new series, "The Butler Family Chronicles. Novels of a fictional family's adventures during the early years of the formation of the American Colonies and the formation of the United States of America prior to the civil war. I have set them in adventures that did happen or could have happened. Book one of the Butler family Chronicles, "Privateers and Kings" depicts the American Colonies during and after the reformation in England. As a work of fiction this book tells of a family of entrepreneurs who as privateers and colonists supported the Stewart Kings with a royal tithe and gifts of money thus benefiting from their loyal service by been granted large holdings of land and the new Colonies.
