Haven, LL.D., our late esteemed Librarian, and personal recollections of Baron Visconti, of Rome, in a letter from Hon. Robert C. Winthrop, LL.D. The index to this Volume has been prepared by the assistant-libra rians, Edmund M. Barton and Reuben Colton. The publication of the Proceedings of the meeting of October, 1880, was under the immediate supervision of Dr. Haven, since which time.
