"Pyramids on the Moon - A Multi-Dimensional Autobiography" is a fascinating artistic project by Norwegian electronic music producer Per Martinsen, also known for his work under the alias Mental Overdrive . This project explores three alternative timelines of Martinsen's life, each represented by a different musical persona. The autobiographical aspect of the work is multidimensional in that it blends fiction, reality, and parallel universes, where the three personas release music under the names WAVE∞FORM , MENTAL OVERDRIVE , and NAEON TEARDROPS .
Each persona's music reflects various periods of Martinsen's career and different electronic styles, from ambient soundscapes to melancholic synthpop. The project is not only an exploration of music but also touches on themes like identity, alternate realities, and the creative process. The story is continuously shared through platforms like Patreon, making it an evolving, multimedia narrative that involves text, music, and visual elements.
