Providing activities for residents who are low functioning because of cognitive disabilities can be a daunting task. As could be expected, Richelle Cunninghis has produced a book that is full of practical, successful ideas for improving the benefits of the activities you offer while at the same time making it easier for you to do your job. The activities and how-to's in this book provide you with a good foundation for orientation activities to be used by the therapist, the activity director, other direct care staff, and family members. The book includes information on how to break down tasks into more manageable activities for your residents, as well as offering over 50 activity ideas.
