Reflections Over a Pine-Needle Cocktail with Picasso, Matisse and Klee is an interior design art book built around a house designed by Brani & Desi.
The book takes the reader through the house with sixty full-color interior illustrations and twenty-eight poetic texts. Floors rise and fall, and familiar rooms become abstract, painterly compositions. Color and geometry give each space its character. The images draw on the visual languages of Cubism and Fauvism, while the words enter the same rooms from another direction.
Turquoise chairs gather around a round table. Each room has its own light and its own palette. The poems do not describe the interiors — they move through them, following color, texture and thought.
By Brani & Desi, Sofia-based interior designers whose work has appeared in Interior Design Magazine (USA), Dom & Interior (Moscow), Interiors (South Korea), Bait Venoy (Israel), ID+C (China), and other international design publications.
60 full-color interior illustrations. 28 poetic texts.
