Excerpt from Report of the Committee on Volunteering: Presented October 13th, 1864 We propose to select one Of the regiments in the field, and fill it up to the maximum strength. We also propose to encourage enlistments in other ways. A gentleman has been employed to call upon every member of the Club but members are requested to send their subscriptions to either Of the undersigned without waiting to be called upon.
