Samantha expects things her way. It's Samantha's Law. When she dismisses her previous housemaid, she sees no reason why her useless brother-in-law can't fill the role. Samantha offers her sister the opportunity to live rent-free at her massive home, and to give her sister's husband a job. She's vague about the role, but Suzanne goes along with her plans as it will ease their money and rental woes. Suzanne's husband, John, is less sure it's a good idea; he knows Samantha's ways only too well. They move in with Samantha, despite his c oncerns. He soon finds out there is only one law in Samantha's house, and that's Samantha's Law. Samantha's Law says he will be her housemaid.
