The Margaret Kates Award Winning Super Lou! tells the story of how one kid finds joy and strengthens their family during hard times. Lou recognizes that things are different these days: the playground is closed, so is the grocery store, and the neighborhood feels empty. Lou misses friends, extended family, and the old way of living. Still, Lou finds ways to connect and bring joy to others' lives, even from afar. While poignant in this era, Super Lou! 's themes transcend the pandemic.
Appropriate for preschool aged children up through ages 6-8, Super Lou! tackles the subjects of loneliness, isolation, communication, quarantine, love, and generosity.
