The watch is water resistant to 1,000 m (3,300 ft), as well as being shock-, sand- and saltwater-resistant. Its soft-iron inner case offers protection against the effects of magnetic fields, while its bi-directional rotating bezel can be safely secured with a lock on the left side of the case.
