Ronkholz's typological photographs of German drink kiosks are directly influenced by the work of her mentors, Bernd and Hilla Becher Between 1977 and 1983, Tata Ronkholz (1940–97) photographed more than one hundred "Trinkhallen" (drink kiosks) across Germany's Rhine and Ruhr valleys. Her objective, documentary images are reprinted here in full-bleed duotone.
