The Douche Journals features breakout character Schmidt’s social gaffes and hilarious misfires for which his roommates require him to put cash in an official “Douchebag Jar" along with more inside jokes, backstory and insights into the character, written in his hilarious and self-aggrandizing voice. The massively popular TV series New Girl follows Jess (Zooey Deschanel) after she moves into a loft with three male roommates—Schmidt, Nick, and Winston—and follows their exploits in dating, work, and relationships.
