The Harold Chronicles, originally titled The Day Harold Turned Left, began as a forty-four minute film examing the life of Harold, a stick figure in a multi-dimensional world, more comfortable with routine than adventure, always turning right no matter where he goes. One day following a hail storm, Harold finds himself at a fork in the road, and suddenly turns left. An unimaginable world opens up, including Cora, his true love; a thin yellow dog with whom he speaks; a career at the General Store; and his discovery of The Aisle of Doors, each one a portal into a different future.Once called "Dr. Seuss for adults," The Harold Chronicles stands at the intersection of art and technology, a parable of sorts. It's a story about the large consequences of small decisions, the value of remaining true to one's self. No matter which way we are most inclined to turn, The Harold Chronicles suggests perhaps turning in the other direction, just to see what happens.
