Summer 1941. The war is going well for the Third Reich, but not for disgraced German special forces soldier Ako Wolff. Facing court martial for objecting to SS atrocities in the east, he is thrown an unlikely lifeline. A small group of high-ranking German officers bent on overthrowing Adolf Hitler have learned of a Soviet peace offer direct from Stalin. All they need is someone to meet secretly with the Russians and agree terms, so that key wavering army generals will finally join the conspiracy.
