A huge percent of the time you invest in putting your business together should be spent on your pitch. My experience with pitching came as part of a startup accelerator. In the program, seven teams went through an intensive business bootcamp where we fine-tuned our businesses and talked to investors. At the end of the program, you pitched your business and hoped someone would make you an offer to invest in your company. There were great companies in the program. In my opinion, all were worthy of an investment. But you know how many got it? Just my team.
