Before the world collapsed, Amanda spent her free time making podcasts. To help cope with the stress of her sudden flight west, she uses an old recorder to log her thoughts. She records her thoughts as her boyfriend, Scott, leads them west and works with the military to help establish settlements. After an encounter during a five day hike, Amanda notes that she and Scott both are a little more enthusiastic about sex. As time goes on, she comes to term with her different world view, just in time to notice the military is leaving them for bait. As the infected overwhelm the base, she returns to her recordings to chronicle her final minutes before she changes.
