First published in 1939, ‘The Man Who Talks With the Flowers’ is a recollection of Glenn Clark on his close relationship with George Washington Carver. Glenn Clark is recognized as a New Thought leader.
During his lifetime George Washington Carver was referred to as the black Leonardo da Vinci. His great research into alternative crops to replace cotton, such as peanuts, soybeans and sweet potatoes revolutionized Southern farming. Carver witnessed slavery when he was born. When slavery was repealed Carver traveled extensively to study and enlighten himself. He was the first head of the Agricultural Department at the famous Tuskegee Institute.
