The Red Wadi By: Hamad S. Alomar The Red Wadi offers a glimpse into a community in Arabia during the 1950s and 1960s when people lived under a variety of self-imposed social restrictions. The novel, both informative and entertaining, follows individuals of that community as they try to secretly bypass these restrictions. Though they had been told these ideals and restrictions were right, their human nature told them something else. Their lives are woven together, but each character has a unique and layered journey. About the Author After eight years in academia, followed by twenty-seven years in banking and finance, Hamad S. Alomar retired to serve as a licensed consultant on training and finance. He graduated from the University of California, Riverside, in 1982, with a master’s degree in mathematics. Married, with four grown children, he loves meeting and talking with new people, reading and travelling extensively. He resides in Riyadh.
