As the snow-image takes shape, Flora’s imagination runs wild, and she begins to treat the image as though it were a real child. She dresses it up, talks to it, and even attempts to interact with it as though it were alive. However, the snow-image, as the reader comes to understand, is simply an inanimate creation, unable to respond or interact with her. The story then explores the implications of Flora’s actions and the innocent, yet poignant, nature of her belief in the "miracle" of the snow-image.The narrative is a reflection on the nature of childhood innocence, imagination, and the blurred line between reality and fantasy. In its deeper sense, the story also touches on themes of longing, loss, and the transient nature of beauty and life. The snow-image, a miracle for Flora, ultimately represents a fleeting moment in childhood—one that cannot be preserved, much like the snow itself that eventually melts.
