This collection is a departure from the traditional poetry I had written, but it is something I had always wanted to do with free associations and abundant cultural references and imagery. One of my regrets is that I should have been more humorous, which is a deficiency that I address here. Life is the confluence of thousands of things that may not make logical sense except in retrospect and from a distance.
About the Author
James R. Campbell is a reporter who has worked for newspapers in Texas, Colorado, Kansas and Missouri. He has also published "The Purity of Jazz and Speckled Trout and Other Prose and Poetry," "The Byrds of Victory" and "The Honeycutts of Blackthorne."
