Deep in the forest of Verinaul, the World of Animals, Hero, the son of the famous wolf, Serval Red Eyes, is born. After his mother's death, Hero is raised by his father, Fergath, leader of the pack. Hero is destined to follow in his father's footsteps and become Leader, an honor he does not want.
