In 1887, Lord Samuel Bennett's untimely demise plunges his young and sheltered son Michael Bennett into crippling debt. He is forced to abandon the once-grand Bennett estates and start over in a world that is completely alien to him. He travels south to a small farming village, where he is taken in by a reclusive family who seems perfectly normal, but there are strange little secrets in this village that he finds himself at the centre of.
