Jennifer Kent is still reeling from the effects of her father's death, and she knows she must journey through her grief with God's help. She decides to leave her bookkeeping job and the fast-paced life of San Francisco to return home to live with her mother in their isolated northern California home. The job market is tight in this small community, but she lands a job as a security guard at the Drake Mill Lumber Company. The thirty-something owner, Jarrod, has been praying to God for someone to spend his life with. He realizes that Jennifer, his new security guard, may be who God has in mind. But trouble looms at the mill as Jarrod realizes that someone is stealing large amounts of lumber from the company. Worse, he suspects that that his new security guard may be involved. Can their new relationship survive the investigation?
