This was a really fun book following a genius who, after being involved in a road accident, pretends to be Mentally Disabled in order to see how they live, experience the things they go through, and try to raise awareness for the problems that Mentally Disabled Individuals have. The author gives voice to the special education kids in the school. After an accident, he appears to have lost some brainpower and is relegated to the special education stream. When he realizes that he has actually recovered his intellectual function he conceals this so that he can continue to experience life with these students with whom he has developed real friendship and understanding and to observe and analyze the interaction of the two strands of society. Later writing about it thus giving a voice to the students in the language understood by the mainstream.
