Three Rings and Swords, The Bushido Code and Stories of the Samurai, The great master Samurai brought to the forefront the awareness of how to embody self-control and restraint in order to discipline their minds through their physical and spiritual training. As they liberated themselves from conventional reactivity and fear-based impulses, their intuitive responses elevated their spiritual obligations and brought ethical success to their actions. The samurai's ethical actions grew into an empirical basis for the Bushido Code to take hold as a philosophical path. Contained in this text are the teachings, and methods of my three Senseis: Richard Kim, Reverend Shunshin Kan and Jack Seito-san as well as stories of the historic Samurai that reveal the pathway of the selfless Self for all Martial Artists.
