Jessie Reids gets sent to juvie after taking the life of a man who killed his mother. At 17, he is let out after the court is shown proof that his murder was self-defense. After release, Jessie has help from his guide Mrs. Jones and is taken in by the Weaver's and their foster home for delinquents. There he meets the angry Declan, seductive Adeline and the strange twins Brady and AnnMarie. He starts East Haven high school and meets the lovely Izzy, instantly falling in love with her. Things start to look up but there is just one problem... his past haunts him and causes him to slowly lose his sanity. Jessie must learn to cope with strange hallucinations and impulsive actions. However, the hallucination he cannot seem to shake is a young girl who keeps telling him he will kill four more people.
