Smudging is an ancient and sacred ritual for cleansing and purifying using sacred herbs. The smoke cleanses the energy and then carries the prayers upwards into the spirit skies. It is important to be clear of mind and heart when preparing to smudge. Smudging is used for protection, cleansing, and honour. Sweetgrass is used to purify thoughts and environment.
Due to being a natural, wildly grown herb, sweetgrass braid lengths will vary from approximately 10" to 18".
