This book offers an intimate exploration of my life journey as a five-year-old girl growing up in a disadvantaged environment on the Eastside of Detroit, Michigan. It delves into themes of heartbreak, abandonment, depression, and a dysfunctional family dynamic. Through each chapter, I invite readers to engage with my experiences of silence, complex relationships, and the struggles within the church, while unveiling my path toward healing, restoration, freedom, and forgiveness.
The title, UNBREAKABLE , is deeply significant. It reflects the multitude of challenges and adversities that tried to break my spirit - yet they did not succeed. I believe my resilience was fortified by divine intervention, as I underwent a transformation much like the name changes seen in biblical history.
This narrative serves as a testament to the many trials and tribulations I have endured. I stand today as living proof of having overcome personal betrayals within myself, my family, my ministry, and my relationships. Many individuals facing similar hardships may have succumbed to despair, but I persevered - with the determination of a steadfast soldier.
It is my hope that this book becomes a source of inspiration for all who read it. Upon finishing, I encourage readers to share its message with others, thereby fostering a greater sense of community, healing, and support.
