The feeling of 'not good enough' may have its root in the hidden and unhealed hurts and pains of the past. These pains could be resulting from what was done or said to us. Consequently, we may carry in our souls; anger, fear, jealousy, or shame, guilt, condemnation, bitterness, and un-forgiveness. For the most part, these are internal struggles, they seldom manifest externally. The more we leave them un-confronted, the longer they remain unhealed. Eventually, we will grow numb to this pain and create a persona out of it. Until we receive the truth from God's Word about ourselves, our true identity, this pain will remain a part of us.
