Anold Lane describes his experience: The book you hold in your hand chronicles the messages I received from the Voice throughout the summers of 1987-1988, during that hike and subsequent treks in the Sierra Nevada wilderness areas and National Park backcountry of California, includ-ing the High Sierra trail and segments of the Pacific Crest Trail. Although the last message was received more than twenty years ago, the content remains remarkably current, especially that of Chapters 10 and 11.
