The way we do church caused my stroke. In my opinion we must look carefully at making MANAGING health and wellness. Maybe changing our administrative style, expectations, and the way we select pastors is the answer. In WHY I HAD THE STROKE I explore the correlation between administrative style, expectations, and the way we select pastors, with answers. "This is a MUST READ for ALL." Andrew's been married to Ramona fifty-three years. Together, they have Andrew, and Cecelia (who with Bryan has three sons). Before retirement, he's been a full-time Pastor (growing congregations, initiating community projects, acquiring real-estate, and developing properties) and Presiding Elder, overseeing Churches. Andrew studied Music and Philosophy at Wilberforce, later graduating Class President from Allen with BA in Social Science. At Turner Seminary (ITC) he earned the M. Div. in Clinical Pastoral Care and Christian Education. His Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling and Church Administration is from Palmer Seminary. Further studies include Real-Estate, Substance Abuse & Dual-Diagnosis Counseling, and Psychopathology. He taught Colleges and Seminaries and is an Author and served Council of Churches as Director for Offices of Ethnic Cooperation and Institutional Ministries. Andrew's been a Chaplain and Counselor and Therapist and Global Church Plant Director traveling to twenty-four Countries. Making numerous Recordings, with Choirs, and Cecelia (daughter), he produced, hosted, and appeared on Radio and TV, including TBN. He's since created and operates Holtz TV, Holtz Development Group, Andrew Holtz Consulting, and Holtz International Ministries. He's been awarded Keys to Cities, cited "Pastor of Year," and is Life Member of NAACP and proud Member of Omega Psi Phi. Andrew enjoys playing Piano, Organ, traveling, and walking. He and Ramona were named "Therapeutic Foster Parents of the Year;" raising thirteen Children after Andrew and Cecelia graduated Colleges, and left home.
