With Vision: A Collection of Poetry for Women Who Desire to be Seen is the first collection of poetry released by Nailah Muhammad. This collection embodies many of the emotions, feelings and experiences of the author and so many women she has encountered. Black women are beautiful, kind, loving, and powerful. They balance the responsibilities of single mothers, caretakers, and the glue that holds together so many families and communities. They do it all, all while learning who they are, how to love, how to heal, how to succeed, and the list goes on. Sometimes, even in power, we struggle. Black women struggle in plain sight, but oftentimes are invisible, even to those who see us every day. May the power of words create a pathway to a heightened ability to truly see each other. To embrace and connect with each other. To look at our brothers and sisters and say, "I see you…and I am here."
