In The Nick of Time is the author's second novel in his Nick Black, P. I. trilogy. It is set in Los Angeles in 1944. With a war on, people were being squeezed by rationing so The Boys overseas could survive the Nips and Nazis who had a head start toward their goal of conquering the world.
