Sophia includes sibling rivalry, apathy due to an unwed pregnancy. She drops out of high school and becomes this terrible, ungrateful person in the eyes of her family. Her parents reminded her often of the terrible shame she had brought upon them and that she would not amount to anything. People in the community talked about her horrible shame Sophia had brought to her family. Sophia's life becomes a total disaster. Later she decides to make some positive changes in her life. As she begins to think positive, her outlook on life and situations changes.
